Yesterday I completed my 40 days of JapJi and started another 40 days practice – Adi Shakti Meditation.
I would like to remind all women about this invaluable tool that we have in our possession at times of need and support – Adi Shakti mantra, also known as Bhakti mantra. This mantra calls upon the Universal Creative Power and expresses devotion to Kundalini energy, the Mother of all energies, the life force. “When a woman chants this mantra, she connects with her essence as the embodiment of Universal Mother Energy, which is always available to serve her. When a man chants it, he can connect directly to Divine Mother and release his earthly mother wounds and attachments” (Guru Rattana, “Gift of Womanhood”).
Sincere practice of this mantra clears the path, takes away misfortunes, and brings abundance and security. Woman, when she is connected to her Feminine Force, will find that she attracts what she needs, magnetizing favorable circumstances and things just falling into her lap.
Sing it today as a special gesture to the Maha Shakti. Merge in it. This is enough to take away your misfortune. This will carve out of you a woman. Woman needs her own Shakti, not anybody to it. Today let all the past die and let prosperity live. Let you die and let your power live.
I would like to ask you a question. Isn’t there a time in your life when you have a very miserable situation, and disastrous environments confront you? It comes in everybody’s life. Well, this is a Maha Shakti mantra, and when a woman chants it, God clears the way. This is not a religion, it is a reality. Woman is not born to suffer, and woman needs her own power. This is a Maha Shakti mantra. Just utter it once and see what it does.
I feel you must have some time when you are in difficulty. Rather than calling on help from friends and prayer, call on Maha Shakti and see what happens. When India and Indian woman knew this mantra, it dwelt in the land of milk and honey.
– Yogi Bhajan
The mantra is often chanted by pregnant women to connect with her baby in the womb. Chanting it for 11 minutes a day during pregnancy will reduce the diminishing effect of the acid bath if the child is a boy. If the child is a girl, it will assist in developing her awareness.
